@Sue & Jack: I know I am lucky! I also know that all these kids will grow up, and I'll be looking to my own neighborhood children to get my niece/nephew fix in the not-very-distant future.

Hi Jeanne, We, too, are non-parents. We have alot of nieces (5) and nephews (4) and even a great niece (1) and some great nephews (4). Our problem is that they all live out of state. ( Of course, this means that our brothers (5) and sister (1) live out of state also, so we can't have the brother-sister thing going either. ) We'd love to be an Aunt and Uncle to them but alas, it is not to be. We make efforts to visit when we can, especially for Weddings and such. You are so fortunate to have a relationship with yours. We envy you. We find that adopting the neighborhood children helps to fill the void. Loved your blog.

Will you be my aunt, too?
I always wanted a favorite aunt. Unfortunately, I had a Wicked Witch of the West aunt.
Actually, can I be your aunt?
I don't have any brothers or sisters. :(
Looks like I'm going to miss the aunt experience all the way around.
Great blog.
